How to use the QAMP campsite map
The QAMP campsite map is a camping route planner for Ontario provincial parks. It shows every mapped frontcountry and backcountry campsite and campground along with washrooms, lakes, trails, portages, parking and park boundaries, so you can plan a camping trip around the things that matter to your group. Tap a site to see real campsite photos, reviews and amenities before you reserve it through Ontario Parks.
1. Choose a park
Use the Parks menu in the toolbar to jump straight to a park, or pan and zoom across the province. Campsites with community photos show a preview image when you tap them.
2. Filter campsites and layers
Use Filters to show frontcountry sites, backcountry sites, campgrounds, washrooms and lakes, and Layers to add trails, portage trails, trailheads, parking and park boundaries. Find sites close to what you need, or far from it if you want a quiet spot.
3. Add stops to your route
Press the plus button on any campsite to add it to your route. With two or more stops, QAMP calculates distance and travel time between them, including canoe routes across lakes and portages in backcountry parks.
4. Share the plan with your group
Save the route or start a trip plan to invite friends, share a group camping checklist and chat about who is bringing what. Learn more about planning a group camping trip with QAMP.
